here.So here it isI was honestly blown away by this book. There are romance novels, and then there are LOVE STORIES This book is a love story one that will tug on your heartstrings, make you feel good, but also doesn t pull any punches It s raw and REAL We rarely get books like this. Both Molly and Finn go through heartbreak, and their own journey of redemption, forgiveness and hope Tears, heartache and love there were so many deep emotions on both sides It was needed but nevertheless heartbreaking to see them bring back old memories, especially if they would hurt the other person.Their journey was truly inspiring, touching and thoughtful. The way the author wrote this story is spectacular, unique and unapologetically real The letters connected seamlessly, and I must say they were my favorite part of the book Each letter was a step towards a happily ever after. There were moments in this book that broke my heart in a good way I didn t cry, but my heart was gooey and soft sometimes, and in pieces at other times The emotional heartbreak never devastated me, but it was interspersed in just the right way to touch my heart and for me to be completely invested in the outcome. The author hit the perfect balance with this book. And having Poppy and Cole to be such a big part of this story made me incredibly happy I adored them in The Birthday List, and I was so glad to see so many glimpses of their happy live together, that it felt like I got part of their story too These two books feltlike a duet, the way the characters and stories were so deeply interlaced You can t read one without the other, they feel like two parts of a whole PERFECTIONThis book was everything I hoped it would be Probably , because it s also so different from The Birthday List, and I think that s why I loved it so much I was afraid it would pale in comparison to TBL, but it didn t It was something entirely unique A love story that touched my heart and soul And I ll be recommending this book to everyone that will listen.I received a copy of this book from the publisher for free in exchange for an honest review My opinions have not been influenced by the publisher or the author.Findreviews and book recommendations on my blogFollow me on Bookstagram I m in a quandary with this oneI was hesitant to start this story when it hit my Kindle If I was to write a bullet point summary of Letters to Molly, you would surely be convinced that there was no hope for Molly and Finn I already knew things about this couple that did not put them in a favourable light But, I also knew that these characters were very human, vulnerable and capable of love, loyalty and compassion How did I end up enjoying a story with a subject matter that I normally HATE I m in a quandary with this oneI was hesitant to start this story when it hit my Kindle If I was to write a bullet point summary of Letters to Molly, you would surely be convinced that there was no hope for Molly and Finn I already knew things about this couple that did not put them in a favourable light But, I also knew that these characters were very human, vulnerable and capable of love, loyalty and compassion How did I end up enjoying a story with a subject matter that I normally HATE Well, I guess it all comes down to how well it s written. There were so many times I questioned Devney Perry s ability to turn my feelings around from anger to happiness I was squinty eyed, fuming and uncertain whether I wanted Finn and Molly to have their happy ever after So many mistakes, years of guilt, heartbreak and loneliness that could have all been avoided if they had only communicated and put their marriage first.Even as I m typing this review, I m still in a quandary about my feelings On one hand, Finn s obliviousness made me so angry I wanted to scream and shout at him On the other hand, his willingness to admit his faults and work towards fixing their problems was something I came to love With Molly, at first, I believed her crime was unforgivable and I wrote her off as unredeemable Then, when all the letters had been read, the raw feelings exposed, I couldn t help but reassess my hasty judgement Geez, it s so easy to judge without knowing the full story and for a wee while there, I know I closed myself off from giving these two a fair shot at happiness Even I know that marriage is hard work and isn t always perfect It s easy to put others needs ahead of your own when you have kids in the mix I m even familiar with having a family business that can take over your life I SHOULD have been the first person to read without judgement and give these two a chance, and I didn t I guess I ll have to remember this moment for my future reads.I really enjoyed reading Letters to Molly and getting the chance to see this once happy couple find happiness and love again The characters were interesting and very realistic, the storyline kept my attention from start to finish, and Finn and Molly s love story was proof that love can conquer all I definitely recommend 4.5 STARS ARC Generously Provided by Author My eyes fell shut, my breath stolen by the sensation of him filling the voids I d ignored for so, so long Here, in you may remember fromTHE BIRTHDAY LISTThey re Poppy s big brother and best friend sister in law, whose marital woes were just beginning as Poppy was finding new love We are reunited with the couple who have been divorced for about six years Molly and Finn have found a way to get past the animosity for the sake of their two children who they share custody of It s been six years since they ended their marriage Irreparable damage has been inflicted but yet neither has been able to move on to new love Everyone else can see the longing looks they cast each other s way but these two are too stubborn to let go of the past. After a night of movies with the kids and a little too much wine, Finn and Molly end up having an incredible night of sex, but the harsh light of day has them both backpedaling and declaring their night of lust a mistake Soon after their night together, Molly starts to receive letters in her mailbox that Finn had written to her over the course of their relationship The letters open up old wounds and begin to break down the walls that they each put up between them There is also a mystery to solve as Finn isn t the one sending the letters Dread is all he feels because he knows that not every letter was written when he and Molly were in a good place.Have these two hurt each other so much that there s no hope for forgiveness and a second chance When tragedy strikes the Alcott family again, will it tear them apart forever this time Finn and Molly s story is incredibly angsty and filled with so much heartbreaking sadness It was a serious page turner I couldn t put this one down until I finished it at 4 AM this morning I wasn t sure thatThe Birthday Listcould be topped, but then Devney Perry goes and proved me wrong Here are my overall More beautiful than the day we metRather than a book that shows the deconstruction of a relationship as it takes place, we are given letters that someone is mysteriously leaving for Molly to find Letters written by Finn throughout the years of their marriage Letters that force them to deal with issues they ignored while married Letters that are both beautiful and heartwarming as well as sharp and painful They highlight the beginning of love as well as the struggles this couple experienced and the slow erosion of their relationshipWhat had caused our divorce What had taken us from a place where all I needed to get through one of the hardest moments of my life was one glance at herI absolutely love Molly and Finn Their s is not a story contrived with outside drama that forced them into reacting in uncharacteristic style It s exactly what happens in so many marriages and how the individuals involved handle things when life gets stickyThe thing about divorce is, there isn t always one mistake One nuclear bomb dropped on a couple that destroys their marriage Sometimes, it creeps up on you slowlyLetters to Molly was a deluge of emotion that caused my heart to soar from the joy and excitement of new love, before plummeting with devestation by the events life had thrown at Molly and Finn I could not see how this couple could ever move forward from the past However, in true Devney Perry fashion, she makes it work realistically and in ways I never saw coming Add in an epilogue that left me smiling even as a sob choked it s way in my chest, and I am giddily happy with the journey I ve just witnessed.Dual POVSafe view spoiler While married but separated h had a quickie with om one night stand that didn t last but a few minutes While I don t condone cheating of any kind there couple, and I found myself already invested in their HEA, even though I had no idea that they would be getting a book So, when the announcement came that Letters to Molly, a companion novel to TBL, was coming, I was beyond happy Finn and Molly are special characters and their love story is layered by so many things At first, it s all heartbreak, the emotional upheaval and grittiness these characters have to wade thorough is tough You almost think there s no way they can get through it The damage inflicted by one thoughtless, reckless moment is too much Too painful Too overwhelming But then, in the same breath, you see the glimmers of hopefulness and healing, you begin to sense the sweet and tender and heartfelt feels simmering under the surface, and you just know that this couple can make it Letters to Molly is a very realistic portrayal of just how easy it is to lose yourself in the savageness of life, and just how quickly things can spiral in a way you never saw coming Devney weaves pure emotion into each word and hits you deep in the gut Finn and Molly are divorced and what they feel for each other is part toxic and messy They have endless amounts of baggage to work through, but both seem to content with just burying their heads in the sand and dealing with their day to day And then something happens, sparks ignite between them, and letters begin randomly showing up in Molly s mailbox, thrusting her and Finn back into the past, back to the memories and feelings they ve long since buried And holy shit, it s all the things You desperately want these characters to be okay You find yourself needing them to have an HEA And I just loved it I couldn t put it down Not for a minute Devney Perry is a gorgeous storyteller and she knows how to keep you invested, needing, feeling, and falling in love one word at a time Overall, this is the sweetest second chance romance It can be read by itself or after The Birthday List It s brimming with angst and tender feels, it s romantic and so worth the read Ithan loved it Highly recommend it And can t wait forfrom Devney She s always delivers, and I can t get enough Molly and Finn Alcott had the picture perfect marriage With two gorgeous children, a lovely home and their own business, they were the couple others aspired to be But when news of their divorce spreads through town like wildfire, it sends their beautiful image up in flamesMolly spends years mending her broken heart She finds joy in a life centered around her kids and career Her happiness has a different picture nowThen one day, she finds a letter in her mailbox Written in Finn s handwriting, dated over fifteen years ago, it s a letter he wrote Molly after their first dateWeek after week, Finn s letters appear Each marks a date
