recommended reading if we didn t even like the book I have had seven children ages 8 through 14 who read this book on their own during our review period They ALL loved it That s saying something given the age range and that these are both boys and girls with lots of varying interests Now I can t wait to start it as a read aloud because I m excited to read it too Some of the thin Our ThoughtsWe love such a good book. Can t come outside to play I m reading. Can I bring this book with me Could we go to England Trust me when I say the questions they ask are amazing and I love how much they re learning from reading the book They ve all been spellbound and read this book rather quickly It is long but they devoured it at a fast pace This can only be said for the truly good books. The cover is very nicely done and really draws you in This would be a book I d pick up to read the back cover of because it is eye catching and makes you want to find out what the book is about We definitely recommend this book and think you ll love it The main character is 12 so that gives you a nice guess to what age it will appeal to I would say roughly ages 8 adult would be the appropriate age range for the book That being said my six and three year olds will listen to this as a read aloud and I m sure they re going to love it I have voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book which I received from The Homeschool Review Crew All views expressed are only my honest opinion I was not required to write a positive review nor was I compensated in any other way All opinions expressed are my own I am disclosing this in accordance with the FTC regulations 4.5 stars Britfield was a fantastic adventure, jam packed with the perfect amount of adventure and suspense to keep the pages turning One of sprinkling ofadvanced vocabulary it s one that would a appeal to theavid of young readers As someone who highly values parents reading to the 4.5 stars Britfield was a fantastic adventure, jam packed parents reading to their kids though, I would also recommend it as a great story to read together at bedtime.Although mixed between causing mischief and protecting one another, the theme of friendship was a strong driving force to this adventure Even in the face of imminent danger, the characters were willing to face their fears and cause diversions to help one another I appreciated seeing this level of selflessness and heroism in such a positive light.I appreciated that this book encouraged an excitement for literacy, but I thought that the selected literature and authors discussed would be over the heads of young readers With exception to a single Narnia book, the other references were all adult classics Charlotte and Emily Bront , Shakespeare, Jane Austen, Charles Dickens although truly classical authors, I m not sure kids would really comprehend or follow the level of appreciation this book gives to them Overall this was an enjoyable read and one I d easily recommend as a great find for advanced middle grade readers I look forward to seeing how the author continues with the next book in the series, currently set to release in 2020 I received a copy of this book through FrontGate Media Thoughts and opinions expressed are mine alone While this book is geared for youth, as an adult I found myself caught up in the story Imagine thinking you were an orphan all your life and then you find out your parents are possibly still alive This scenario is exactly what happens to Tom Growing up in a series of miserable orphanages with only one thought of eventually escaping, Tom finds himself forced to flee with his best friend Sarah.Full of danger, mystery, intrigue, and adventure, this book was definitely worth reading My one compl While this book is geared for youth, Tom Growing up in a series of miserable orphanages with only one thought of eventually escaping, Tom finds himself forced to flee with his best friend Sarah.Full of danger, mystery, intrigue, and adventure, this book was definitely worth reading My one complaint would be the fact that it ended and the sequel is not supposed to be out until the Fall of 2020 However, that fact is not enough to make me regret reading it.As the mother of three sons ages almost 23, 20, and 18 and a daughter who is 16, this book is one I believe they would love to read Tom and Sarah go on a dangerous adventure that includes London, a hot air balloon, a stop of Windsor Castle andThey meet people along the way who are willing to help them and assist them on their way I feel this is a wonderful young adult novel that is perfect for middle grade children and up.But do not let appearances deceive, some who appear to be friends may actually be enemies, and some who appear to be enemies may actually be trustworthy The interactions and care that Sarah and Tom show for each other makes this book incredible to read.So if you have youth in your life, check out this book for them Or if you are young at heart and love to read, you should get this book for yourself MY THOUGHTS ON THIS BOOKI usually don t read a lot of YA books, but this one sounded interesting and since I love beautiful and interesting book covers, this one drew me in The first few chapters are not so appealing, as they talk about the orphanage Tom has lived in n most of his life But when he finds out his parents may be alive, the exciting journey begins And all Tom can remember is Britfield But back at the orphanage, things are in an uproar and they must find the two runaways asap.Thi MY THOUGHTS ON THIS BOOKI turns along the way And sometimes it was a bitscary than fun, but that s the beauty of a well written book because it make you want to keep reading I grew to love Tom and Sarah, and was wanting to do whatever I could to help them, but it being a book, I couldn t, sigh A lot of other characters popped up in this book, with all of Tom and Sarah s travels, they met a lot of people And some were likeable, some we not But they all fit so well as they told this story, each character was needed to finish this story. If you have tweens and teens, this is a book I highly recommend Some have even suggested reading this to your younger children, which is a fantastic idea A copy of this book was given to me by the author or publisher I am not required to write a positive review The opinions here truth Along the way several charming people help the children and fall in love with them as well. There is a historical element that was a lot of fun, also. The description of the countryside and city as the children make their way to London was great, and I often felt like I was along with them in the air balloon Yes, an airballoon is their main mode of transportation This is such a great book, I am not sure who will get to read it first I know Eli will devour it, but Jacob will enjoy it too C R Stewart wrote a book innocent enough for youth but captivating enough for me NOTE I received a copy up nicely, but left questions that lead you into the next book in the series A very enjoyable read I m reading this because I heard about it in an article putting it up as an amazing perfect alternative to the demonic Harry Potter The article cracked me up so I thought I would read this to see if it s even half as good in plot writing quality etc As all the reviews here I read are by the same sort of people mostly Christian mom bloggers I thought I would read it and give a review from a different perspective Who knows it may by ok, it may also be terrible so let s find out If this end was just great, loved how he did the female Scottish accent There was enough twists and turns to keep me highly entertained.I always go into children s books expecting to see a lot of stuff, where I
